The Le Creuset Black BBQ Casserole – 25cm is part of the brands first collection designed specifically for outdoor cooking. Made from enamelled cast iron and crafted at Le Creusets original French foundry, this piece combines nearly a century of cast iron expertise with a design tailored for open-flame use.

Individually cast in sand moulds and hand finished, the Black BBQ Casserole is engineered to withstand direct heat up to 300C. The black enamel finish is specially formulated for outdoor cooking its easy to clean, highly durable and resists staining, dulling and chipping. Unlike traditional cast iron, it requires no seasoning.

With a 4L capacity, its ideal for cooking stews, soups, or slow-cooked meats directly over BBQs, wood-fired ovens, gas burners or domestic ovens. The shape is carefully designed to suit most barbecue grills, while the slightly curved lid helps retain moisture and heat. Large, easy-grip handles ensure secure lifting, even when wearing gloves.

This dish is designed to withstand temperatures up to 300C and is compatible with outdoor grills, pizza ovens, wood-fired ovens, domestic ovens, and gas hobs; however, it is not suitable for AGA cookers or induction hobs. When using on charcoal or wood-fired grills, always place the dish on a rack, ensuring it does not come into direct contact with the embers, and maintain a minimum distance of 5 cm between the rack and the embers. Ensure that flames do not extend around the sidewalls of the dish; keep them confined to the base to prevent damage. While the dish is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended to preserve its finish.
