With a retro cocktail in hand, youll settle in for an unforgettable demo featuring three showstopping bakes, each one bursting with nostalgia, creativity, and pure joy.

The session includes:
A welcome cocktail Start the evening in style with a kitsch classic: a fun and fizzy retro-inspired cocktail to set the tone.

Demo Recipes:

• Savoury Summer Galette A golden pastry crust filled with rosemary, goats cheese, and peach. Sophisticated yet nostalgic, it’s a flavour-packed throwback that bridges elegance with ease.
• Two-Tone Viennese Swirls Buttery almond biscuits sandwiched with cherry jam and American vanilla buttercream, crowned with glac cherries for that irresistible vintage flair.
• Black Forest Bundt Cake A dramatic retro centrepiece: moist chocolate cake layered with kirsch-infused whipped cream and topped with whole cocktail cherriespure, playful indulgence.

Expect bold flavours, and plenty of flair and fun as Christiaan shares his signature baking tips, techniques, and stories from the tent.

Christiaan de Vries

Christiaan de Vries is a 2024 finalist of The Great British Bake Off, known for his boundary-breaking bakes, daring designs, and fearless flavour pairings. Originally from the Netherlands, he moved to London to continue his career as a menswear designer, joining the UKs leading fashion house a background that now shapes his unique, detail-focused approach to baking.

Christiaan shares his baking tips, tricks and ideas with a loyal online audience, as well as through regular live TV appearances in the Netherlands.
