Founded in London in 2003, Thornback & Peel is a collaboration between florist, Juliet Thornback, and theatre designer, Delia Peel. Taking inspiration from the countryside and the artistic traditions of 19th century wood engravings, their style encapsulates all the quirky wit and charm of good British humour. Using classic screen-printing techniques, each design features a combination of Victoriana meshed with modernistic geometric patterns – borrowing from the nature of Devon and Norfolk and 17th century microscope imagery, along with Enid Blytons imaginings of Mr McGregors garden and the illustrations found inside Mrs Beetons Book of Household Management. Thornback & Peels designs first featured on handprinted clutch bags and has since developed into gorgeously styled homeware.
