The handle on each knife is made from a variety of horns – Solid Horn, Buffalo Horn, Deer Horn, Ram Crust, Cow Bone, Buffalo Crust. Laguiole originated in the 1920s in the village of the same name; a small mountain settlement of the Aveyron in Southwestern France. Inspired by the Hispanic Navaja and their local knife, the Capouchadou, they created Laguiole Knives. Each knife is designed, built, bolstered, sharpened, polished and finished by hand from start to finish, resulting in a unique and exceptional knife that is guaranteed to last a lifetime.
