The Le Creuset Black BBQ Rectangle Griddle – 40cm is part of Le Creusets Outdoor Collectionspecifically developed for open-flame cooking and built to handle high heat with ease. Its ideal for barbecues, fire pits, pizza ovens, and even domestic ovens and gas hobs.

Made from enamelled cast iron, this griddle is individually cast in sand moulds and hand finished at Le Creusets original French foundry, where craftsmanship has remained consistent since 1925. The black enamel finish is specially formulated for enhanced durability outdoors and resists staining, dulling, and chipping. Importantly, it requires no seasoningready to use straight away.

The ribbed cooking surface helps drain excess fats while imparting classic sear marks, making it particularly well suited to meat, fish, and vegetables. Divided cooking zones allow for the preparation of different foods simultaneouslyuseful when managing varying cooking times or dietary preferences.

This skillet withstands temperatures up to 450C and is compatible with outdoor grills, pizza ovens, wood-fired ovens, domestic ovens, and gas hobs; however, it is not suitable for AGA cookers or induction hobs. When using on charcoal or wood-fired grills, place the skillet on a rack, maintaining at least a 5 cm gap from the embers, and ensure flames do not extend up the sidewalls. To prevent thermal shock, allow the skillet to cool gradually before cleaning. While the skillet is dishwasher-safe, hand washing with warm, soapy water is recommended to preserve its finish.
